The Cotswold Eats Awards are fan voted, so we have Terms & Conditions to try and ensure the voting remains fair for all and is not manipulated.
Terms & Conditions
Nominations:
To be nominated for the Cotswold Eats Awards, a business must :
- Have received 10 unique nominations from the public during required period for that year.
or - Have been in Top 10 Places or Producers in previous years Cotswold Eats Awards.
or - Have been featured on Cotswold Eats as an article or post.
They must also:
- Be currently trading.
- Be able to be categorised as either Places or Producers as determined by the Cotswold Eats team.
- Fit within the discretional 'Cotswolds' area as decided by the Cotswold Eats team. This includes the AONB and certain surrounding areas which are commonly considered part of the Cotswolds, including Bath and Cheltenham, but NOT including Gloucester, Bristol or Oxford.
Voting:
- The Cotswold Eats Awards is entirely fan voted. The Cotswold Eats team may submit votes themselves as individuals, but they carry the same weight as everyone else.
- Users can vote for as many or as few businesses as they'd like within their form, but can only submit the form once. Additional form submissions under the same name or email will not count, or will be combined into one submission.
- Each business selected on a form will receive 1 vote.
Rules & Restrictions:
Cotswold Eats reserves the right to remove a business from awards consideration, during any stage of the process, for any activity it decides to be against the spirit of the awards, including but not limited to:
- Manipulating the voting with coordinated bots, spam or malicious campaigns.
- Encouraging users to submit more than one voting form, with multiple emails or aliases.
- Any other activity the Cotswold Eats team determines to be against the spirit of the awards.
Prizes:
The Cotswold Eats Awards are free to enter, and as such we do not currently offer any specific prizes for winners. We do however send out certificates and wall/window stickers to each Top 10 list so they can highlight the result in their business.
Sponsorship:
We offer sponsorship and promotional opportunities on the website and social media.
- To ensure fairness, businesses that are included in the Awards voting may not have an active sponsorship during that voting period.
- We reserve the right to decline any offer of sponsorship.
